Remembering the amazing Coco Chanel on the day of her birthday
Happy Birthday to the formidable and brazen woman who designs the shoulder bag and is unapologetic as she breaks norms and is fashion forward.
Coco Chanel is born in August 19, 1883. She would have been 139 years old today in 2022.
She would also be completely floored how her brand and the Chanel Classic Flap has reached its iconic status across multiple generations.
She would have been proud to see everyone wearing this bag in fun, frivolous, and elegant moments as it was meant to be.
Today is a celebration for everyone! May we always remember Coco Chanel's inspiring words of wisdom...

I own two items about Chanel.
One is the Classic Flap in Jumbo size with the silver hardware. And the other one is a fashion illustration book by Megan Hess.

I discover Megan Hess in my Instagram feed. Every time there is a beautiful fashion illustration shared by a member of my social network, it would be one of her amazing work.
I have almost all her books, except for the Clarice children's series. And I cannot pinpoint a favorite. However, I was indubitably impressed by the story of Coco Chanel that she shared in her work, "Coco Chanel: The Illustrated Work of a Fashion Icon".

Buying pre-loved is a lot more common than it was before.
